I scored the Best of the 80's Battle Pack back when no one could find it @ a local comic book con for $12 and turned around a pieced it out for $125. Got $45 just for Alpine alone.

Who's Next?

You posted this on purpose! :P

Right now, getting that PoC SE proto that is on eBay already up to $40 for half that and getting the PoC Cobra Tracker for WAAAAY more less that that poor soul paid for his in that eBay auction. However, for every transaction you get a deal on, you get hosed on another. I sold my soul for a City Strike Scarlett. Even though I talked the guy down to less than half he was asking, I will still be walking with a limp because of that one. :teletran

-Mint on Card original snake eyes. $10 from an old lady who bought it for her son new but it got lost and was still wrapped until I came along. She was selling some of his toys and came across it. this was 2 years ago.

-Bought a collection several years ago which included a heavy metal with microphone.

Some time ago I helped a neighbor sell some Joes. (I helped by telling her the names of figures/vehicles and put the parts and accessories together with the correct figure/vehicle). Anyway in addition to letting me buy cheap whatever I wanted first, she gave me a small stack of misc Joe items.

Anyway this woman worked for Walmart for years, and in that stack of stuff were 6 filecards that had been displayed in the breakroom that she had taken down and saved (maybe around 1990 or so). The cards look real and feature 6 top Walmart executives as GI Joe figures. The text is goofy..they talk about a toy "war" against Toys R Us among other things. Sam Walton looks like Gen. McArthur. Anyway I've been told these are really rare and that maybe only a couple exist.

Those filecards are indeed very rare, and worth quite a bit as well, however more than just a couple exist, there are several full sets out there in collectors hands. If you have any interest in selling them, I would be very interested.

Just out of curiosity, what are these worth? they are all in mint condition except each one has a staple hole in the black area outside the filecard where they were originally stapled to the Walmart message board.

Its been a year or two since a full set has sold, but singles have been traded around on ebay in recent months usually fetching $150-300 each. The last full set I know of sold for $1200 privately. I would think a full set of 6 would realistically bring $1000ish, and maybe as much as $1500-1800 to the right person.

Like I said earlier, if you are willing to sell, I am interested.

HEH! Look at everyone line up for these. Nice score Ari!

If you ever come to a meet up, bring those, I'd love to see them.
